Domain Investments
As written in my video, I am now persuing long term investments. I’ve been searching the net for my next project when I stumbled across a few good domains names. The names are generic, easily read, brandable and are no more than 5 characters long. Oh, and they’re all .com’s.
So, my question to you is, would you invest in domains like this? If so, how much would you pay per domain and what’s the best way to sell it on?

You could buy them from domain forums such as dnforum.com I’ve heard its worth paying the subscriber fee for access to the better forums, if you are serious about domaining.
Sell them on forums, and sedo.com.

The long term investments you refer to in your video are generally referred to as “brandable” domains. To increase their value will require you to development them.
There are dozens of different niche’s within domain investment. “Type-in” domains are probably the safest investment and easiest to monetize while you’re waiting for you’re investment to increase in value. “Type-in” names are domains that receive natural traffic due to visitors typing the URL directly into the address bar. These types of domains are usually made up of high volume search terms.
For example, a user searching for information on “used cars” might bypass the search box altogher and just type usedcars.com directly into the address bar. This is an extreme example as usedcars.com is an ultra premium “type-in” name. “Type-in” domains will cost much more up front, but are about as close as you’ll get to a sure thing in domain investment.
