Over the course of the past two years I have pursued many different web ventures, each providing their own experience and learning curve. As a result, I have had the opportunity - or misfortunate in some cases – of testing publisher programs on my sites. As I was unfortunately banned from Google Adsense, it has taken time to compile a list of companies that actually allow you to earn a decent amount from your site(s).
Having implemented these “safe bets” on numerous sites and monitored their performance, I have had the pleasure of earning from the success of the adverts whilst separating the good programs from the bad.
The following companies are sure to earn you money and generally offer good payouts as well as good support…
Value Click Media
Founded in 1998, ValueClick Media was among the first online advertising networks and an early pioneer of applying performance-based pricing methods to the ad network model.
Today, ValueClick Media is one of the largest and most comprehensive online advertising networks, reaching over two-thirds of the U.S. Internet audience across more than 13,500 quality sites whose web-based and registration path inventory is represented on both an exclusive and non-exclusive basis.
I use Value Click on OffBeatInk.com as they pay you for both PPC and CPM, i.e you get paid for each click and for each impression. My banner ads perform well and I’d recommend it to any webmaster who owns a website generating a minimum of 3,000 impressions per month.

Widget Bucks
Described as a “Modern day Google Adsense alternative”, Widget Bucks is a fairly new publisher program that allows web publishers to earn from displaying product widgets on their websites, such as clothing or dvds. These “Widgets” instantly display the most popular products based on buying trends of 100 million shoppers. Thus they are highly engaging, which means instant dollars for webmasters.
Widget Bucks supports web proxies too, something not many advertising companies do as they consider proxy traffic to be trash despite the CTR generally being high.

Another popular advertising network amongst proxy webmasters. Adversal Publisher Network will buy 100% of your pop-under inventory every month so that you’ll never have to worry about your ad space going unsold again. They pay up to $1.20 per 1,000 page views.
Adversal’s pop-under technology launches quickly and is totally unobtrusive. Their network only displays one pop-under at a time so your visitors won’t be disturbed by multiple windows all popping at once. Finally, the popup script is java so cannot be blocked by many popup blockers…thus earning you more money!

Media Jump Quick Links
MediaJump is a search partner of Ask.com and helps publishers monetise their website through user centric ad products. QuickLinks, which is the name of the MediaJump tool, encourages publishers to select a number of keywords which are tailored to their audience and website content.
Users click on the keywords and are directed through to a search results page. Publishers can customise the look and feel of the QuickLinks tool to ensure it integrates seamlessly with their website.
Quick Links related search lists related search terms that can be placed on your website either horizontally or vertically, full control is given over width, the amount of results you wish to be shown, colour options and whether to show a search box and ASK branding logo. Javascript code is placed on the page and the resulting ‘related search’ is displayed on your website which is quite natural looking and pleasant to integrate.
